Hello and welcome on my website! I began the practice of the photography in 2003 then little by little, my passion for the photo filled out. I photograph especially the nature and the fauna. I like(love) by top to emphasize everything the beauty of the lights which surround us in our daily environment, to seize the short-lived moments when all the natural elements conjugate to make a beautiful photo in a place which we would have suspected. In all my photos, half of my work is realized with the framing, the light and the relevance of the subject, the other half is a personal work of creative retouch in Photoshop.

Making a Photograph for my Way

During my shots, I always need 3 things:

An interesting subject
A beautiful light
A good framing

A beautiful photo does not wait, it is necessary to be in the good place, at the right time. Nevertheless, these all three conditions are not sufficient.

35mm Film vs Digital Photography

With the 35mm film, the combination framing + light + filters + good movie slide was sufficient to obtain a good render of the contrasts and the colors. Since I am crossed in the digital technology, the RAW files are flat and miss tonus, they must be necessarily handled on computing, creative editing and retouch. Levels, contrasts, saturations and sharpening are the magic words of the treatment by computer.

Photo Editing and Creative Touch Up

I spend so much time to take the photos that to handle them. I leave the observation that RAW files (JPEG or RAW) are qualitatively far to be as high as the results obtained with the 35mm film. I use Adobe Photoshop to treat(handle) my images.

As for me, in photography, only the final render matters, the important is to express correctly what we have to express without having to justify, the rest is a tasteful question. Wrongly, certain persons associate the photo editing and creative touch up, in a delusion which consists in deceiving the spectator by bringing him(her) a quality image although the original image is bad, a little as if it was enough to click a button in Photoshop.

I am not obviously of this opinion, I think that photo editing and creative touch up is a source of creations infinitely rich but also a tool of indispensable treatment, it brings of the sense to the photo, underlines the main part and masks the superfluous. It is not a work won beforehand, still it is necessary to know what to retouch, how to express that you want to make understand in the image, master tools to reach there. Once again, the important is the result, the eye so works, it cares hardly the way with which you reached there. I call up it creative touch up or creative retouch.
